Naradiya Purana is one of the two Sattvik Puranas of the Eighteenth Purana. The Shaunkadi Munis were engaged in severe austerities in Naimisharanya. The purpose of austerities was liberation. All the sages were Jitendriya. Jealousy is arrogance and lust- (without anger). There were about six thousand sages. When the Shaunkadi sages asked Lomharshana Suta Muni about the Naradiya Purana, he described it in detail. The greatness of Srihari and Srihari is specially described in this Purana.
